Come gather for this unique experimental night of Soothing Sounds, Song, and personal essays exploring the themes of Grief, Praise, and the Power of Love.
This performance art / group meditation is meant to blur the boundaries between song, memoir, sound, and imagination into a sacred ritual of shared experience. As the night unfolds, allow yourself to be "Carried Away" through the power of spoken word, intentional sound, movement and singing; a sanctuary for kindred spirits seeking to connect, reflect, and be inspired. Let your heart be open to the magic of grief and praise, where each note, word, and silence holds the promise of profound kinship.
Shannon Hawley will be performing selected songs from "A Different Kind of Progress" and "STARTHROWERS" and sharing personal essays around grief and praise. Beginning with a sound bath meditation to entrain our heartbeats and ending with communal song to seal in the Collective AWE it is to be humans alive at the same time. What it might feel like to "Walk Each Other Home".
